Best for last.

During His mortal life, He reversed illnesses that plagued the bodies and souls of individuals since their first breaths on this earth were taken. He changed fishermen to fishers of men while establishing His church for later dispensations to follow. He brought sight to those that never had it; faith to those who didn't originally want it.
He made things happen for His disciples and He made disciples from the things that happened.
The crowing miracle marking the last His mortal experience would personally touch being the lying down of His own life and taking it up again.
But the very first recorded miracle of the Savior's earthly ministry?
He turned water into wine.
The wedding feast was going well until Mary recognized the wine was nearly out. After expressing her concern to Him, Christ offered a simple, "...what wilt thou have me to do for thee? that will I do."
Christ will listen.
Perhaps realizing her nearsightedness relative to the vision of God's Only Begotten standing in front of her, Mary indirectly expressed that all she truly wanted was for the Lord to tell her, and those servants with her, what He would have them do.
Christ sees things as they really are.
They followed his directions to fill the pots with water and pour them for the guests as they did earlier but with wine. Risking unhappy wedding guests, they poured.
The governor of the feast took a sip and called the bridegroom to meet him.
"Every man at the beginning doth set forth good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but thou hast kept the good wine until now."
Christ saves the best for last.
"This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee, and manifested forth his glory; and his disciples believed on him." (John 2)
The Prophet on this earth today, holding the keys to God's power as a direct result of those early organization miracles performed by the Savior Himself, stood to offer the following but a week ago:
"In coming days, we will see the greatest manifestations of the Savior's power that the world has ever seen. Between now and the time He returns 'with power and great glory' (see Joseph Smith—Matthew 1:36), He will bestow countless privileges, blessings and miracles upon the faithful."
I guess He's still saving the best for last.
Generally delivered statements 'generally' pass the individual by. But if there is something we learned from His first of many miracles, it is that the Savior works to fill the cup of the individual.
A dear friend offered a timely message, "Please don't settle for something you know isn't God's plan for you just because you're tired of waiting."
This time of waiting is carving out a home for the Lord's best wine in the cup we desperately hold out to Him to fill. It is preparing our palette to taste His richest plans yet to unfold.
Please know that He is not keeping it from you; He has been keeping it for you.
And, so I've come to experience, He has been saving the best for last.
